Clemour still in the race for The Voice SA

Local singer Clement “Clemour” Ngobeni made it to the top 16 on the M-Net TV competition,The Voice South Africa. The 24-year-old student had to rely on the votes of his fans to take him to the final stages of this popular competition.

Clemour had to wait until Sunday to hear that he had received the most votes from the viewers and fans. The soulful singer from Waterval performed Joan Osborne’s “One Of Us” during his first live performance two weeks ago.

Clemour will be performing again on Sunday with the other 15 contestants, with the possibility that his team coach, Kahn Morbee, might save him. If not, he will again have to rely on the viewers to vote for him and keep him in the competition.

In a telephonic interview on Monday, Clemour said that he was overwhelmed by the support he had received from the viewers and fans.

“I appreciate the support that I have been receiving, I am humbled by the fact that there is someone out there whom I have not met, yet that person loves what I do, believes in my dream and actually supports me,” said Clemour.

Clemour indicated that he would be moving out of his comfort zone and bring in a different side from his usual performance during the next round of the competition.

“I am going to take a risk with the hope that it will pay off,” he said.

The Voice SA is aired on M-Net DStv Channel 101 every Sunday at 17:00 and can also be followed on different social media platforms.
