It is a pleasure and an honour to address you, the Louis Trichardt SPCA, to express the thanks of the National Council of SPCAs for the assistance rendered during the recent Alldays Driven Hunt.

We especially wish to commend Inspector Lawrence Khodobo for his active and supportive role, which included speaking to the magistrate ahead of the arrival of personnel from the national council. This took place when we needed to go back to the magistrate to obtain a second warrant.
Whilst we all work for the common cause to help animals in need, there are nevertheless circumstances when an individual SPCA and a specific employee truly go the extra mile to play a meaningful role in a developing situation. The Alldays hunt was such an example.

We may not have been able to prevent it from going ahead, but every element that frustrated the hunters and made it known that they were under scrutiny was important.

Your assistance cost time, money and resources – which we recognise. Above all, we note with appreciation the spirit of cooperation, team work and the determination to prevent cruelty to animals which came to the fore.

- Esté Kotzé (Deputy CEO for the National Council of SPCAs)
