Limpopo Dairy T20 league

The team from Limpopo Dairy  managed a 71-run victory over Jolly in the final of the Limpopo Dairy T20 league, which was decided on the Louis Trichardt A-field on Sunday, 13 September.

Limpopo thereby took home the trophy as overall league winners. Limpopo won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 152 runs. Contributing with the bat were Leon Olwage (54 runs off 33 balls), Nimesh Whittaker (32 off 40) and Chrisjan Hendriks (22 off 17).

For Jolly, the best bowler was Sahail Patel, who took two wickets for the loss of 54 runs in his four overs. In response, Jolly only managed 81 runs. For Limpopo, Leon Olwage took three wickets for the loss of five runs in his four overs, while Chrisjan Hendriks took two wickets for the loss of 15 runs in his four overs.

Morné Olwage (right) from the Werda Toyota Vikings team was voted Cricketer of the Tournament, taking 18 wickets with an economy rate of 3.5 and a strike rate of 6.22 and scoring 168 runs with the bat at an average of 21 runs per game.
