Recent torrential rains in Soutpansberg have delivered over 200mm, filling the Albasini Dam to overflow. This massive rainfall, equivalent to millions of truckloads of water, highlights nature's incredible and efficient delivery system.

Over the past two days, the heavens have opened over most parts of the Soutpansberg. Since Sunday night, well over 200 mm of rain has been measured in Louis Trichardt, and the rain is continuing.

To realise just how much rain has fallen, it helps to put it in perspective. Let us presume you cannot rely on clouds to bring water and instead have to transport it by truck. You would need an extraordinary number of 10 cubic metre tipper trucks to do so.
