Government pushes ahead with MMSEZ despite legal battles

Despite legal challenges and environmental concerns, the Limpopo government is advancing the Musina-Makhado Special Economic Zone, citing significant progress in infrastructure development. Environmental groups, however, allege inadequate impact assessments and unlawful public participation processes.

The government continues to promote the Musina-Makhado Special Economic Zone (MMSEZ) despite mounting legal challenges and criticism from environmental groups, which warn of potential damage to the Limpopo Valley and its unique biodiversity.
