Hawks seize vehicles linked to drugs, illicit cigarettes and explosives

Five vehicles and over R4 million in cash were forfeited in Limpopo, linked to crimes including drug dealing and illegal possession of explosives. This successful operation, a collaboration between the Hawks and NPA, demonstrates that illegally obtained assets will be removed from circulation.

Forfeiture orders have been granted for five vehicles and cash worth more than R4 million after investigations linked them to criminal activity across Limpopo. The order follows coordinated work by the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (Hawks) and the National Prosecuting Authority’s Asset Forfeiture Unit.
