Hazel Leach and a group of swimmers from Louis Trichardt recently braved the cold waters of Ebenezer Dam in wet and rainy conditions to raise awareness about the early detection of breast cancer and support fundraising for the cause.
Swimming under the Swim4Boobies slogan, Hazel and her team, which included her young daughter Caitlyn, took part in the annual Ebenezer Mile Swim on 14 March. Their objective was clear: one mile, one purpose — “swim to detect”.
