A local business lost more than R235,000 after falling victim to a sophisticated cyber fraud scheme via their online banking service. To add insult to injury, the business claims they received little to no assistance from their bank in trying to recover the stolen funds. In fact, according to them, it was only after the banking ombudsman intervened that they were able to recover some of their losses.
