The National Consumer Commission is intensifying enforcement against businesses failing to comply with consumer protection laws, issuing 62 notices for issues like unclear pricing and unsafe goods. Non-compliant businesses face potential fines if they do not rectify their practices within set timeframes.

Local businesses that fail to display clear prices, provide misleading product information, or sell unsafe or poor-quality goods may face an unwelcome surprise. The National Consumer Commission (NCC) is stepping up enforcement and has already issued compliance notices to three shops in Vhembe.
