R400 million Malamulele water project promises hope for thirsty villages

Four contractors were appointed for the R400 million Malamulele East Water Supply Scheme, aiming to bring clean water to villages and create jobs. The project, expected to take 12 months, will address water shortages by constructing new infrastructure and upgrading existing systems.

The appointment of four contractors to work on the Malamulele East Water Supply Scheme was welcomed. The scheme aims to address water problems in villages around Malamulele in the Collins Chabane Municipality.

The contractors — Aphane Consulting Engineers, Good Example Trading and Projects, Risima Project Management, and Neckmay Trading Enterprise — received their appointment letters on 21 January. The project is valued at R400 million and has a 12-month construction period.
