The launch of Jah Lady Dorris D's DVD was an opportunity to get together for many artists in Vhembe and Gauteng who honoured the event to support one of their own.

The launch was held at Cross Road House (Muromani) in Madombidzha village a fortnight ago. Speaking after the event, Jah Lady said that the launch was successful and added that it had also bolstered her music sales. “The launch has taken my reggae career to a higher level,” she said. “I have received massive support from my fan base and fellow artists. I am confident to announce that the artists here in Vhembe are one – we are united by the love of music and our zeal to take it to the people.”

Jah Lady had recorded a reggae album earlier this year, Ndi do mu gwadamela. According to people who had already bought and listened to the songs contained on the album, Jah Lady gives her all as she takes listeners to greener pastures with her velvety voice.

A fellow artist Tshidino Ndou said that he was impressed with the way Jah Lady had organised her launch. “Top artists came in numbers to support the launch,” he said. “Malondolo, Mashudu Nematoka, Zwido, Dzudzi, Cornerstone, Sikheli Junior, Chris Thiba and Nditsheni "Ndiche" Ramalamula were all there. Their performances left the crowd begging for more. Artists should continue supporting each other.”

Jah Lady said that the pressure had already started pouring in from her fans, who all want her to release a new album. She promised to release it next year. She can be reached at 076 127 0323.
