The Botha Shellhole in Polokwane of the Memorable Order of Tin Hats (Moth) is celebrating its 80th birthday this year, and to mark the occasion and raise some much-needed funds for their activities, the shellhole will be hosting an airshow on 28 and 29 June at the Polokwane International Airport.
The Botha Shellhole was founded on 8 July 1944 and, carrying on the traditions of serving their local communities, this shellhole focuses om old-age homes and children in need. They look after people at Peacehaven, their Moth old-age home, and children from Tom Naudé, PEMPS, PHS and more with clothing and feeding for those who only receive one meal a day.
The public are urged to support the airshow and also contribute through sponsorships. This includes booking a food stall (3m x 3m) at R1,000 per stand or a non-food stall (also 3m x 3m) at R750 per stand. Other sponsorship options are also available, such as a display area for maximum 10 vehicles (R10,000) and for more information on this, phone Robin Tapinos at 074 117 6384 or Anton le Roux at 079 049 4552.
